40 weeks - Little Firecracker

Little sweet pea, today is the date we were given 8 long months ago as the day we could most likely expect you to make your appearance. It appears that you probably won't make your arrival today since it is nearing 5pm and the most action I've felt today is a few Braxton Hicks contractions. It is also a full moon tonight, and they say that tends to make little ones be born, so maybe you'll wake us in the middle of the night with a call for arrival. We can only hope because Daddy and I are so ready to meet you. We know that you are the missing link in our little family and we are so anxious to welcome you home. Your brothers and sister ask about you everyday and like to guess which day you will be born.

Your big brother, Avery, likes to rest his head on Mama's tummy and feel your kicks and punches just about everyday, and your big sister, Cori, is beyond excited to have a little girl in the family finally. Your big brother, Fox, asks regularly if the baby is coming today and he even bought you a special Teddy that he can't wait to give you.

Whenever you are ready to come out and meet us all, we will be overjoyed. We hope that it isn't too much longer, but know that you must be cuddled in there as snug as a bug in a rug. We love you, Lyric Olivia, and we are so excitedly awaiting your arrival.
